Can anyone pick me up from Honda of Lisle on Saturday? I'm dropping off and selling the CR () and will need a ride to the meet. I'm having jeggy drive the POS2k there. Probably will need to be picked up around 9:30am.

Brad, considering this is at someone's house, I wouldn't do this without consulting Austin first.

Austin is doing a big service to the community by offering his place, so we need to respect that.

 

There's a good possibility I can help you with this. I'll keep you posted.

Also, for those of you going to the Dragon:

If you plan on getting FRS radios to take to the Dragon (which I recommend), it wouldn't be a terrible idea to pick them up and bring them here so we can make sure they all work with one-another's.

 

Pat, just had an idea...don't sell the CR yet.

Since you're pulling the AC and radio out of the POS2k...why not move all that over to the CR so it's no longer a delete model? Itd keep you from having to sell off that stuff, and would increase demand for your CR exponentially.

 

Considered it. 2 reasons I won't. 1) Need to build the race car nao. 2)It's 1 of 59 delete models. I consider these to be sacred cars for the hardcore. Someone in SCCA will eventually buy it. I'd like to sell it to him/her directly, but see reason #1.

 

I found a couple bottles of Raggtopp, but I never did get around to the valve adjustment. I'm hoping a review of the procedure will get me off my ass. I was also hoping you'd be demonstrating the Porter Cable so I can one day make my car look as good as yours does!

 

Lol, if youve got the porter cable, it's really quite easy.

I use the Meguiars over the counter stuff and menzerna po85rd for the super polished finish.

Raggtop worked great for me, but with the 303 you can use it on the black trim pieces and a lo of other plastics. It versatility is a bonus.
