If you're really interested in selling the car, you may want to get the car REALLY, REALLY cleaned up and take it to a Subaru dealer that has a car that you want.

Check out how long the car you want has been sitting on their lot, and then go in acting like you're interested but not serious. Test drive the car you want, and if you still want it, ask for trade in value for your S2K.

Some dealerships are surprising, they may give you the trade-in you're looking for if and when you pick up one of their stale sales. I'm looking at getting Ronica a new BMW and took her current car into Bill Jacobs BMW, they were willing to give me close to $22k on her 75k mile car plus $4k off the car that we wanted from their asking price.

I thought of jumping at the opportunity, however, they weren't willing to negotiate on the mods on the car. I wanted to take off the front bumper cover, the side skirts, and the wheels. They wanted the car as-is. So no new BMW for Ronica....actually it could mean that she could now be getting a new Acura, or even a new Subaru (of the Legacy GT variety).

If she gets an Acura, it'll be a TL. Maybe an RSX (but it's not too practical for a baby seat). The TSX drives better than the TL, however, for the price difference, the TL is better because it's quite a bit larger.

If I was the only one deciding, her next car would be another e46 sedan (only non-Xi). Or if I could really swing it, the new 545i. That's a REALLY nice car.

We'll see. Maybe she'll see this Thursday...

remember that the TL's rear seats don't fold down. The TSX does have folding rear seats. I've found that to be really useful.
