Paul, What time do you estimate you will be arriving into Merrimack? I will meet up with you there.

Your best bet is to show up on 78 on the north shore of Lake Wisconsin, or at the Hwy DL/hwy 78 junction. You'll likely meet up with Scrapdog as he will not be taking the ferry, according to his note.
Garrison, are you and the Chi people going to cruise directly from Chicago, or take the indirect rout and cruise there with the Mke group?

The cruise is starting at 7:00 AM from my place due to the need to get to the park before the droves of other people show up. Since the smaller shelters are first-come-first-serve and no charges, they are likely to be taken later in the day. Remember, we will be arriving at the park at about 9:00 AM, which is when many meets start (well, ok maybe most start at 10:00). Devil's Lake is one of the most popular parks in Wisconsin if not THEE most popular park in Wisconsin.
I've been there on a really nice day before both early and late. . . . And if it's a nice day, it'll be to our benefit to get there early. Just trust me on that.
Most of the climbers show up at the park at around 7:00-8:00 AM (some as early as 6:00
) to get prime pickings on routes. We're getting there early to get prime pickings on shelters, parking, and beach space.
Just to recap in so there are no confusions: The the meet at the park starts at 9:00 AM. The cruise, from my place starts at 7:00 AM.

If anyone is interested, I make killer Beer Dip.
I also have a charcoal grill that i can load into the Supra hopefully.
Don't really have much for entertainment though.
