Default What time is it?

Looking around on one of those "other" sites I found a service where they take a digital picture and turn it into a watch face.

Here is the link:
www.southerncarparts.com

I have no association with them, I get no discount or anything. I am just planning to order a watch or two myself, and thought I would pass along the info.

Southern Car Parts... New Product ALERT

Here's a great gift idea for the Corvette (or S2000) owner!

We all love our Corvette's (or S2000's) so why not create your own Custom Corvette (or S2000) Watch?

Southern Car Parts is proud to introduce our latest Corvette (or S2000) product, the Your Corvette (or S2000) Watch".

This is not just any old watch with a logo, but rather a quality watch with your Corvette (or S2000) in the background. The watch has a 3 year guarantee, leather band, a polished chrome or gold bezel, and best of all YOUR Corvette(or S2000)

Wow. I'd say don't waste your money. But its your money. I bet they use $1.99 Chinese quartz movements in that watch. You drop it, its gonna break. And I'm sure the ultra thin layer of nickel plating they use will wear off in a few months.

Considering my $90 fossil watch did the same thing... $48 seems like a good deal.

The time on my phone is always accurate..

But it would be kinda cool to have the S on a watchface.

Or a Vette

Why not d/l a picture of your S2000 onto your phone? This way, you can use your phone to talk, check the time, AND adore the pic of your S2000 on it (plus it can be in color and/or photoshopped).

Cool idea on the watch though...too bad I don't wear watches.

Well, if you were going to put a pic of your car onto a watch, I'd at least put it on a decent watch that will last you. I know Seiko and Citizen have special programs to put custom images onto the face of the watch. They have been more for corporate gift type of deals. But I'd think they could put a picture of your car on there if you wanted. I'm not haten on the idea. just dont like the look of the watch, and don't fancy those cheap movements. My parents use to sell those types of watches at their stores to have something in the lowest price point possible. But man are they a headache. We'd purchase about 500 of them at a time. 100 of them would have a visible defect. 100 of them would come back within a week with a broken movement. 100 of them would tarnish. and maybe 200 were good for about 6 months. After which 1 of the above would happen. I have worked in the Jewelry/Watch industry for a long time, although not any more. All my life for my parents, did time at Movado, and was part of the Quality dept at Whitehall.

But then again $50 isn't all that bad. Go crazy.
