Where to race on a road course??
I'm trying to find out where I can just go and pay like 150-250 bucks to go race on a road course for an hour. I'm not a member of scca so that prob hurts me a bit. But I leave for the Marines in April, so I wanta run my Integra the week of March 8-14th if any tracks in the midwest area are open.
Unfortunately that is a little too early in the year; I doubt tracks will be open. The good news is that $150 - $250 can get you a whole day of track time, not just an hour!
The closest tracks around here that driving schools use most frequently are Gingerman in Michigan (http://www.gingermanraceway.com/event.html) and Putnam Park (http://www.putnampark.com/schedule.htm) near Indy. They list the track schedule and any driving schools that hold events at the track.
The nearest driving event I know of is the SCCA auto-x school 3/29 - 3/30 in Joliet. While it's not road course track time, it's a good place to start if you've never done hot-lapping or auto-x.
