Check out some of the boat and RV storage places. There are a lot of them in your area, and can be more reasonable than the average public storage place. Be sure to follow all the suggestions above especially the rodent advice.

Do you want one eating your seats and wiring harnesses? What about pi$$ing all over your carpet?

Turds are easier cleanup, I have to admit.

Pee is no problem with seran wrap. I will wrap the car like my grandmothers couches.

This also should be made into a sticky, since everyone in this forum experiences some sort of winter.

Bumping a 5 year old thread!!! Still looking for a place to store the S over the winter. I could store it in my underground parking, but I know I'm going to regret it when I'm digging the beater out of 2 feet of snow. Suggestions for cheap storage? Considering anywhere near chicago, milwaukee, or fontana village

I have been using dryer sheets scattered through-out the car and engine bay, and rags up the tail pipes as my anti-rodent method. I was told by a car collector mice hate the smell of dryer sheets, and it doesn't linger as long as the mothball smell. I also set traps w/peanutbutter bait around the perimeter of the car and empty monthly; usually have one or two traps tripped per month.

I also don't belive it putting the car on blocks, I personally don't want to leave the suspension sagging all winter and put stress in directions the car doesn't normally see them. I put my factory rims back on and air them up to ~40 PSI to avoid flat spots. Previous car had bad flat spots that could be felt for about 200 miles after storage since I never used to add the extra air.

I've also heard that pests hate the smell of Wrigley's spearmint gum (no other brand/flavor is as effective). I've heard that if you collect your wrappers over the summer and leave them in and around your car for the winter, then you'll be protected. Don't know if there is anything to this, or it is just an urban legend.

Pat, lets go halves on a lift and then you can store your car in my garage!
