Default Winter storage?

I was wondering what you guys had planned for winter storage this season? Any ideas? I might not be able to have the usual garage space this year and am looking for options.

I have for the past two winters because the s2000 was my only vehicle. I sold both of my other cars to get one. If you have snow tires with decent tread on them you should be fine unless your car is lowered and it snows above the bottem of your bumper. If you don't have snow tires or much tread left then forget it. I got stuck in a perfectly flat parking lot one time with 2 inches of snow because of this issue.

^^^ this is true. i winter drove a stock ap1 and a stock CR. all season tires on both cars. doable on all seasons ( i liked the challenge) but dedicated winter tires will do wonders.
i'm driving my miata through winter for the 2nd time this year. dedicated winter tires for this one.

True! I had an AP2 for the past two years just sold it this past June That was my only car for the past two years. So had to drive in the winter. My car was also lowered and I also used winter tires with AP1 wheels. It was rubbing a little bit and I had be very careful driving since it was rubbing. But with the winter tires it was great! I was passing all SUVs on the expressway. Was very happy with the set of winter tires. Purchased them used and only paid $360 (it was a set of four tites and AP1 wherls) and two years later sold them for $400 (made 40 bucks)

i'm pretty sure how immaculate Jason's car is...it will never see snow. hell i dont even think it sees rain.

There should be cheap storage units in your area, Jason. I remember someone posted up on jdmchicago somewhere near the Wis border had 10x15's for around $60 a month. I did Public Storage a couple winters. Rented a 10x15, got the first month for $1 and rented for another 2 months at $120/month. I haven't checked how much they are this year but I'm assuming it might be a little more.

Nice, thanks! Yea, the storage unit is probably what I'm going with. I won't be in the area for long periods of time this season and don't want to chance anything with the thefts. There were several options out there, but I think this will be the most secure.

How was the available space going with the 10x15? Was there enough room?

it's the perfect size for it. there won't be room for anything else but the car though.

also, i wouldnt mention you're storing a car at Public Storage. they might make you pay more for the unit. i just told the person i was storing household things.

it did give me a sense of more security when i stored it there. you have to go through a password locked gate and i slapped two master locks on my unit. it was like fort knox for a honda.
