Thanks a lot for the support Harry! Though there have been times where I've felt like Vishnu, all arms flailing about trying to correct my situation...and one invariably hitting the windshield wiper.

If you're down with camping, you'll have lots of company. If you want to do a hotel, BOOK NOW. That is prime tourism season for that area and they'll be booked weeks in advanced, perhaps months.

Thanks to all of you for the tips. I think we may be down for camping. Maybe we'll even bring our dogs.

Very interested in going.

Looks like I'll have to get a set of track wheels & tires.
Oh and Pat, yes please on the instructor thing or at least the ride along, I'll need all the help I can get.
Spots are filling up fast. I counted 52 participants already with a limit of 80.

I will be willing to take you along for a ride but I fear I could never match the experience you got from Keith at Grattan.

Probably get a decent tent for $60.

Once you break into the $150 area is where you'll find the better ones. Quicker setup, more durable, etc.

Harry,

yeah, you can go the cheap route and get a piece of nylon to separate you from the mosquitoes for probably even cheaper than $60... or you can get a Tent-Mahal if you want.

I think the real question is.... what can you FIT into your car if you're not towing?

Oh, and Phil is actually 18 days younger than me, but it's easy to mistake since (due to premature birth) he's had both hips and knees replaced..... and a head as bald as yours

I do not think Harry and you are referring to the same Phill.

My hips and knees are still functioning from the OEM

I need to get tires sorted before the event, so I'm watching this closely.

My ride with Keith will never be forgotten I do need to pick up some pointers from Pat though, he's very quick and smooth.

Oh, sorry Pruhnke, didn't know he meant you, I thought he was still in the mode of confirming my mortality.....in that case good for you for being sooooooo old and still having OEM parts (and maybe hair too)
