Default WTD drive

Wtd registration: check!
Cabin booked: check!

So i was looking at the pics from last years WTD event and seen not to many people taped up the front end of there cars to protect it, and was wondering what was the alternative to taping up the front end? i did it last time i went on a road trip but it was messy and a hassle, Any input would be appreciated

I'm not sure what alternatives there would be, but I do know there were a number of people who taped up their car.

I taped up some of mine, but it was for comedic purposes.

I actually looked into getting the 3M installed on my car, but the cheapest quote for the CR was $645 (!). Considering all the angles, but it was about $130 less for a stock bumper. Depending on how you do the blue tape, it works, but it seemed like nobody's lasted the whole weekend. It will rain at some point for sure.

As an aside, I will miss the Cooper S2000. I wonder who/what will be your passenger this year?

My luggage. I've got other things planned for the trunk.

We added the clear 3M bra to my TC and it was great . The only problem is I got a chip just pass the bra.(Someone though a pennyat me on our last wtd run).

P.S. Derf(Fred) and I are going this year. We are taking my Del sol because the S was totaled last December . We will be leasving Kalamazoo on Wednesday and staying at the Homestead Inn in Blue Ash.$49.00 a night with breakfast.

Don't follow so closely. Most rock chips come from the car in front of you. If you just leave a little bigger gap, you can avoid rock chips.

Be sure to wash the bugs off as soon as you can to avoid their guts eating into the clear coat. The paint should be durable enough if you are just careful.

Do you guys put the spare tire back into the space above the fuel tank for the long WTD drive? Or just leave it at the garage?

I can't fit the spare in mine at all (stereo is there) the best thing to pick up is CR flat tire kit, it won't help if you have a blow out, but it's something at least.

I'd put your spare back in, Murphy's Law and all that.
