It's not going to be much different from a Horse power standpoint . The new car uses the existing 3 series platform which will give it more handling, it doe slook allot better. The S2K will still be able to kick the crap out of it.
I agree.......the power plant will be the same as the existing ones....next year or so, they will fit the M3's engine into it just like the current Z3 which will pump out more than 315+ hp.
Wonder when S2000 will be fitted with 2 more cylinders
when i looked at the engine compartment, i think there is room for V6.

We saw one last weekend at the Dragonball Run.

The driver was a German employed by BMW and his job was to drive this Z4, 500 miles a day. Tough job ? Anyway.... he said in Germany the Z4 was tested against the other German roadsters, the Audi TT, Benz SLK, and the Boxster S (the Z4 produced 261 hp). And the Z4 beat them all! He didn't know anything about the S2000. There was also another Z4 on the Dragon, it was a dark gray and part of the same test team.
A small V6 would be Sweeet, a 2.6 or 2.8 liter producing 300 hp and 200ft.lbs. of torque ( I'm dreaming here). It would also move the engine weight further back from the front axle.
