I was at Stockton to Malone Honda yesterday getting the spark plug issue fixed, and saw that they had 3 2002 S2000's. I saw someone go out and drive a yellow 2002. I was curious if they were letting a 2002, not properly broken in, become a test car. I later found out that it was the General Manager's personal car with 9,000 miles. After many frustrations(misplaced parts, wrong parts, and wrongful charges), they agreed as a way to bury the hatchet, to let me drive the General Manager's S2000. This wasn't a quick drive either, they told me to take a good half-hour drive. It was quite fun. They definately changed the transmission on the 2002, it felt different, a little bit smoother. On my drive I didn't encounter the 1-2 grind either. I won't be trading in my S anytime soon, but the 2002 does have some worthy changes, however, I did notice that mine felt more powerful(maybe my small mods did more than I thought). Anyway, that was my little experience with driving the 2002 S2000.
