500+ HP S2000? Who's is that? It's tracked regularly? I would like to read more about this build and setup. Where can I get more info?

Thanks,

Jorge
It is not tracked regularly, he just purchased/traded for the car. He picked it up from some guy in the midwest.

my slow 2k - Thanks again for the use of your fully charged battery

Hope to see you out there again, Nice car BTW.

Also here is the link for the info on the Wintercross that I told you about starts Nov 14th.

Glad I could help you guys out.

I will look into the snowcross more. Only downside is once they salt the roads, my car hits the garage. Maybe I could use my truck?

Wow. Good to see someone get out there and enjoy that kind of power on a course with curves! I want to see that thing in person. Sounds like he got a killer deal, too. Very nice!

I made it out to Miller for lap battle, what a blast! I was in the slowest silver softtop S2000. This was first time out to the track. I tried to stay out of the way and give room on the left for passing.

Sorry about my buddy with the black Z06 in the RWD street class, I think his best was 2:12.

I will be back for sure. My times improved by 4 seconds and I will bring better tires next time... I plan on attending wintercross, so I will look for you guys out there.

Any word on what the black S2000 broke? I was going to stop and check it out after the event, but I had to get to work.. I would have guessed rear diff or an axle from the vague problem description I heard.

He has DSS axles, so not sure what the deal was. We pulled his axle out yesterday to be sent back to DSS for them to inspect. The boot clamp did pop, spewing axle grease all over. Once the axle is back he'll throw it in and give it a drive.

Crazy, those are spendy. Probably doesn't apply since he already has those axles, but if he needs to replace them he might try Raxles instead. Their pricing seems to be about half as much as DSS and they can customize.

Oh, and I think my times were slower than yours.

I'm looking at the wintercross event, but a bit confused about what I should bring (S2k with street tires? Suby with snow tires?) due to the description on the MMP site: It says that, among other things, drivers can expect "...Dirt, Gravel, Mud, are a few of the conditions that can be encountered."

So, for any of you who have done this before: Is the event held entirely on asphalt portions of the track, or does it actually go off the track and into dirt, gravel and mud areas?

It's supposed to be all on the track. But due to inclement weather, other conditions could be seen. Snow, muddy track due to slide offs, etc.

Thanks for the quick response. That's what I kind of assumed, but, due to their description, wasn't quite sure.

It looks like it might be a good day.
