Hello all just wanted to take a second to introduce myself and thank all that participate in these forums the info in them has been very useful! I live near Ogden and have owned my S2000 for almost 1 year, took me about a year and a half to find one at the right price that needed some love to get it awesome and I have done just that! It is a 2000 red with red hardtop. When I purchased it down in st. george it was pretty beat but mechanically sound. I have since changed out all fluids to amsoil, new front windshield, optima battery (yellow) radio door, security system, k&n fipk, invidia cat back (already had it on it). Recently I have taken it down to murray to get a totally new paint job with 2 layer clear coat and get a new top with window, I should be having it back soon and will post pics on my profile. Always willing to lend advice or a hand where I can.

Sounds like some nice work you're getting done on the car, I love hardtopped S2000s! Definitely looking forward to seeing the pics when you get it back. Always good to have another Utahn on the forums!

 

I would love to post some. A bit unsure how. The place doing the work is sending me pics as it progresses! I only use the hard top when it is much cooler out. I am having a new vinyl top with glass window put on. I have seen a handful of s2ks around a silver one and a yellow one here in Ogden the guy in the yellow one always honks and waves it's great little secret club we have!!

 

Welcome. So your the one that beat me to that s2k, I remember that one cause that was the one that i was going to buy. Would like to see some pictures. I also seen you driving it around when you bought it.

 

welcome! I'm in the Ogden area as well, and I believe ive seen the yellow one that waves as well. Ive only met one other s2k owner around here at the ut Honda meet in a red one as well. Maybe ill see you around

It was pretty beat up when I got it but mechanically it seemed very sound and so far has treated me well, even though I have put lots of love into it and will continue to! haha, they let it go to me for 8500 which I thought was fair despite the top not working at the time, it had a hard top and I was excited about that.

 

We should all wave and honk to each other! Kind of fun really. I am not afraid to put miles on my car so you should see me a lot, there is another red ap1 that lives down the road from me with a hardtop on it, now you will be able to tell mine apart since I am putting on enkei pf01's on it. Love these cars. Everyone always says "man thats like the car from the fast and the furious" I then eyeroll and say yeah I guess so, I hated those movies...haha
