Sightings
Spotted The Mendii, I think, last week at Sam's Club and then later that day on Main St. in Clearfield.
Sam's + S2000 =

Spotted a Silverstone AP1 heading east on Antelope Dr. with temporary plates. Congrats on the new ride whomever you may be!
Just wanted to get something on this board. It's been a bit quiet lately!
Yeah - had to get my technology fix @ Sam's...needed a new hard drive...best price in town! We need a group drive before the Mendii head to Korea in June! I'm tempted to take the hard top off today since it's so nice!
Saw Spidale5 tonight at Chili's - nice color; very clean, sharp ride!! Just picked up Lib at the airport from getting her PRK surgery. (that's why we had the monster suitcase sticking out of the trunk!
)
Also noticed an NFR AP1 parked top-down at Chili's, too
Gently placed an s2ki.com card on the dash - hope it wasn't someone already on the boards. If it was, apologies...you can recycle it if you see an 04 or 05 with temp tags.
If you are new, welcome to Utah s2ki!!

Saw The Mendii at Chili's. Also very sharp and very clean, very yellow, your headlights caught my attention! (I had Laser PRK a few years ago as well. Brutal, compared to my Mom and Sis whom had the Lasik. My vision got to 20/5 initially, now I think I'm slightly better than 20/10. Good stuff)
My wife also spotted that same NFR, I didn't see it. I had my eyes on the road.

Saw a white AP1 (maybe with tan interior???) in the Layton Jamba Juice parking lot. Parked with its top down.
A few minutes later, saw another white AP2 pulling out of Pinnacle Mountain View Apt Complex.

Saw an 05? In Layton in the China Hill parking lot with temp tags. Put an S2ki calling card on their wiper.
Hope to see you on the boards! It was white with the tan interior - VERY cool looking in person! Nice color combo.

Saw the white with tan, again, pulling out of Pinnacle Mountain View in Layton. There is definitely and new white and tan in town (it had temp tags).
As a bonus, there were two younger women driving it, well only one was driving!
The Mendii, what type of "calling cards" are you placing on the windshields? I'd like to see one. Thanks!

Tony:
You can call us Mendii
or Jaime or Libby...
As for the calling cards, I found samples about a year ago from the UK folks and I modified them by adding our screen name to them. I keep about 5 copies in the radio door pocket and another 5 or so in our Jeep in case I run across an S I don't recognize. Sadly, I've also been known to put cards on the SAME car twice! (Ask Dennis about that one - had his wife convinced I was stalking her!) I'm searching my hard drives for the pdf file of them - when I find them, I'll post the samples...if all else fails I will scan them for ya and design new ones as a parting gift to the Utah forums. (We leave 24 May for Seattle and then Korea!)
Nice to know that the younger ladies are into S2000's
Hopefully she saw the card and will log on. I get sheepish about leaving them under peoples' windshield wipers, but hopefully they appreciate the gesture to invite them to our community more than the annoyance of me "touching their ride"
The more folks we can get together, the better!
I also noticed a Silverstone(?) AP1 with the top down on my way down 193 and turning south on Main today - did not recognize the gentleman driving, though. Anyone local wanna fess up?
Finally, I noticed the gentleman with the other SYP AP1 who works at TRW - he was headed down 193 top-down yesterday towards I15 north. I noticed he had a black luggage rack on the trunk ala MGB. Not a bad look, but it's not something I could see myself doing; I much prefer the bungie cord holding the trunk closed!!! To each his own
I think I'll stop by TRW tomorrow and leave a card on his car if he's got it out. It's usually covered, so I may have to bring a safety pin
