Well, tomorrow my S goes in to get the windows tinted. It is being done by Laketown Speed and Sound out here in Draper(11700 S. State St.). I will let you know how it goes and of course post pics. I will also post pics after my latest parts buying spree. I bought a Magnaflow Full Titanium Exhaust, APEX'i V-AFC II, AEM V2 CAI, Mugen Header, J's style Urethane front bumper, a thing that adjusts the way the top folds down so it won't crease, and 17" black Volk CE28N wheels with Yoko AVS ES100 tires. Sorry Mike(msm_s2k), had to get these wheels. A Spugen Big Brake Kit(13" rotors, 6-piston calipers) and Comptech S/C may be joining this list by the end of the month.

Well, I got the tint done, they didn't do the back window and the front isn't that dark, so it was an ok investment for $70. Anyway, I went to Innovative Car Audio to see about adding another amp, so I can run one to the sub, and one to the speakers. Long story short, I will be going to all the car shows with Innovative, while they put 2 Kicker 10" L7 subwoofers in, 2 Rockford Fosgate 1300 Watt amps, a 500 watt amp, all the wiring, etc, building a custom fibergalss enclosure to house it all, porting the subs into the cabin area, redoing the trunk to have the amps mounted on either side of the trunk well, and one against the back of the trunk, and creating more storage for me, carpeting it all and making grills to go over the subs and painting them blue, for $2300. Basically it's about $4000-$5000 worth of parts and labor, but if I sport a sticker and go to the shows with them, I'm basically sponsored by them, so I should get hooked up whenever I go there. It'll be done tomorrow night, and I will for sure post pics. Also added to my list within the next week or so will be a Comptech S/C to move all that extra weight around.

I've been selling a lot of my old parts and it looks like I will be ordering my Comptech S/C from Laketown Speed and Sound for $4200(seriously looked everywhere, they even beat my sponsor's price) at the end of the week or next week. I am excited!

Well, things may change, I have found a Vortech kit for $4100, so I don't know what I am going to do. The car still isn't back from Innovative Car Audio, because what they were originally going to do is get MC Blue paint and paint the grills that color, but now what they are doing is match painting it to the exact exterior color because just MC Blue paint may not look the same since it hasn't been exposed to sun, weather, etc. So tomorrow is when I will pick it up, and I will post pics ASAP.

Trent:

Is there any way that Laketown will meet the $4100 price? Are you getting the aftercooler also? Looking forward to checking out your mods at our next GTG! (Libby wants an S/C for ours, so she will probably want to see first hand what an S/C adds to the "fun factor"!)

I have yet to ask Laketown about Vortech because 'my guy' wasn't there after I found out about the price on the Vortech kit. BTW, it is from Diamond Bar Honda in Diamond Bar, CA. They also offer install for $200 more, but I think it'd be fun to have a Utah S2K GTG/SC install. If I get a Comptech kit, I won't get the aftercooler. I will let you know what happens, and will be talking with Laketown Speed and Sound after I pick up my car from Innovative.

No problem ... I switched to a new set of Volk 17" TE37s about 3 weeks ago.

Here's some pics! I just got my tint done, 50%(legal crap). And then I got my car back from Innovative Car Audio. The hole in the back right corner of the trunk is a place for storage and a way to port the subs toward the cabin. It sounds nice, but needs some tweaking before it sounds really good. I have the bass turned all the way down because if I don't, I can't hear anything. Enjoy the pics!
