Default Is $20k enough?

Hey Guys,

I borrowed my uncle's BMW Z4 for a week and got hooked on roadsters. After hours of research, I discovered that the S2000 is the way to go and the more I see them, the more attractive they seem to become

My budget is $20k or less and I'm wondering if that's enough for a good one '03 or newer? I've been looking on craigslist and they seem to be all over the place. Some with over 100000kms and some well below (i would assume there's something else wrong with the car). And I'm even wondering if 100000kms is relatively that much on these cars? From what I've been reading even the major services are pretty cheap.

Thanks for the input

For an 03 or newer. finding one for 20K can be done, but it wont be easy.

and 100k isn't much as long as it was maintained properly.

and major services as in? You'll quickly find there isn't many cheap things when it comes to the S.

But best of luck on your search

If your patient enough then those criteria should be easy to follow by. September is just around the corner, last year a batch of em showed up on craigslist. These cars ae Honda, pretty cheap to maintain considering that it's a sports car.

There are a few members here trying to sell. Just search through some of the recent posts.

You should test drive a S2000 first. Totally different cars. I like the Z4 too. Comfort, luxury and performance.

Definitely drive the car and if you have a significant other get that person to spend some time in the passenger seat. I would never give up my S2000, but you really need to know what you are getting into...

Thanks for the advice guys. I will definitely be driving one before I buy it. My main problem with the Z4 was that the 2.5 felt underpowered.

So far I've been getting a lot of replies on here with people selling some very nice S2Ks!
