Default B-type Maintenance

I have had the oil change indicator come on before with a small "A" in the bottom left corner. This time I have a "B". I checked the OM and it says that this maintenance is a bit more involved and requires checking the breaks and suspension and a lot of the steering and control parts.

Does anyone have experience with a B - Type maintenance? I called Honda City and they told me it was $240.00 so it this a common maintenance or has the car detected something wrong?

I am just wondering how HC can give me an exact quote like that if the car is just reporting something wrong which makes me feel this is like "scheduled" like the Oil Change indicator is.

Thanks in advance...,

yeah my civic has the same kind of "maintenance minder", depending on what your display shows, determines the kind of "service" you need done, i think its a combination of A&B and also 1/2/3 for numbers that can tell them what scheduled service you need done. Now, its up to you to determine what parts of those services you need done, as this one is probably mostly alot of "check this, inspect that blah blah blah", but when these ones came up on my civic, yeah, i did get suckered and paid for it to be done anyways. Oh well..

Try asking how much it is at Zen Sport. Heard they are much more reasonable. I had mine B indicator came on at around 16k when I did my oil. Campus Honda wanted and an and a leg.

I looked at what they were gonna do, and no, don't think so.

I did my A maintanance with ZenSport. Chris is really good. This one is a bit more involved though. Check your manual. This is a break inspection and suspension and wheel stuff. I am going to check with ZenSport as well.
