Battery Problems
hey guys, new to the board for the past couple of months but I decided to get the S out of hibernation this weekend. Swapped the insurance off the Subie and went to get the S ready only to find out that after connecting the battery, it must have died. Took a boost and a change of jumper cables to finally get enough juice to get it going.
Took it out for a good 50 minutes then came home to do the restart test. That DID NOT happen,
so I'll have to boost it again in the morning.
I just got a new battery in Sept before putting it into storage in October this year.
Do I just need a good battery charging? buddy of mine has a slow charger that might do the trick I'll try tomorrow.
any other suggestions? thx

The charger will work but after the battery is drained once, it will kill the life of the battery. Instead of the battery lasting 3-5 years, you will only get 1-2 years out of the battery.
This happened to my dads car (a new battery).
12 months later, the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore and we had to get a new one.
