Default best way to get a replacement key?

I only got one key for my car and if I lose it, i'm toast. What is the best way to get a key without getting ripped by the dealers? I guess they are the only ones that can program keys.

buy a key from ebay and bring to a dealer to program?

The key's themselves are pretty cheap, but it is the programing that the dealer will rape you on.

Really? When I had my keys reprogrammed, it was only like 50 bucks.

If you're just looking for a spare key, it is really cheap. But if you want another S2000 logo key, they're like 300 bucks.

I went to Richmond Honda. Maybe they give me a discount because I bought an expensive key as well?

ahaha well normally I wouldn't have, but the dealership where I got my S lost one of the keys so they covered the cost. The best part is they called me one day after I ordered my key [which Honda made me pre-pay for] and told me they found it. I told them I already ordered mine, so they were like "that's ok, just give us the receipt and we'll reimburse you.

So I have 2 logo keys, and still have another extra set, just incase
