You do realize that a CF hood is not necessarily lighter than our stock hood right?

I did think about having CF hood before, but so far I haven't because I think it'll be the first mod to rice my car. It's hard to make the car look clean with CF hood. I mean our hood is super light already so the Seibon replica ones are as heavy if not heavier. Dry carbon ones will cost fortune too.

Hey question here but the CF hoods I have been looking at are vented. What happenes when it starts to rain? Is that OK on the engine? Does the water get into the hood?

I've been reading on the amuse hood, and that one is vented above where the stock air box is so water would just get onto that and no problem. While driving im sure with all the hoods most the water would just blow off. Some hoods have water channels to channel the water away from anything major?(not too sure) also i hear with the channels that it kind of restricts the warm air from escaping the vents. A lot of guys wash their engine bays out and hose right onto it so shouldn't be a problem?

My question that i never really got an aswer for was...what about parking outside in the rain for a long period of time..?
