Ok, Im new to the forums (sort of, ive been unregistered and snoopin for a while)
I've decided to start lookin for an S about 3 months ago, and finally found the one I want... However, its in the states. Everything is good to go, and im to pick it up on Saturday, BUTTTT - I can't get the damn Recall Clearance letter in time. The deal may fall through because of it.

What I need... is a scanned copy (clear) of a recall letter that you guys may have used. I was gonna doctor the vins, dates and names in Photoshop, if you guys want, you can blank em out yourselves for privacy reasons. If any of you are willing to help, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - PM me... I got a wicked deal for an amazing AP1 and I dont wanna pass it up because of the god damn jerks at the border.

Just register on https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp (or get the existing owner to do so) and print out the recall page. This is acceptable b/c RIV knows that Honda of America will not provide a recall clearance letter to the buyer, although the current owner should be able to get it.

 

Hahah.... just realized something... Do I even need the recall clearance letter at the border? Or just for Federal Inspection?

nah, ive been on riv.ca - and checked everything out... i think i had everything down before i talked to my buddy who i think knows even less than I do, even though he's imported cars from the states before. he kinda screwed me up. So its all clear now, I only need the Recall Clearance letter for Fed. Inspection... he kept insisting that I'll need it at the border.
