I just had one custom made for my new AP2 bumper.
Buddy said it is easy enough that he's willing to make them for about $30 each if any s2ki member wants them. made with good grade thick aluminum plate. I'll post some pic later. |
Currently I just have mine ziptied to the front grill, I want to make one pretty soon that mounts to the side.
However.... mount it to where???? Im gonna try to stay away from drilling holes if i can... |
Have a look at this. ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnrfkJiCDRE
Expensive for the motorized ($150 US on sale from $180) but the non motorized isn't too outrageous ($60). |
I have seen this, one of the guys from Oregon that came up to the island this summer had one..., very cool.
Also one of the PACNW people had something at the show and shine in Abbotsford it connected to the tow hook and could be removed quite easily. |
that will never work on the underside of an s2000 bumper...it'll get ripped right off...even at stock height, the bumper occasionally touches the ground...
|
It was ricks accessories here's a link to his website http://www.ricks2k.com/
The one he had for where the towhook goes in is not on there the other one is. They were just testing the one for the towhook. You may send him a email if and when the other one will be available. |
^ Ray is marketing it I think.
|
My work place...Brian Jessel Autohaus sells those licence plate holders that attach to the towhook.
And i believe Speed Syndicate sells the motorized ones. |
towhoook? So you just take off the circle in the bunper to screw the mount in?
|
Yes special adapter that ensures the plate clears the bumper but ya you just screw it into the tow hook hole and so you can take it off or put it on pretty quickly.
