Default Hello.

Just thought I drop in and say hello.

Looks like there is a lot of information available here, and some great conversation. I am really looking forward to purchasing an S2 in the near future.

Welcome to the board! Have you found an S yet? What are you looking for?

I've been looking mainly at 2002/2003 and 2004/2005, haven't decided what I like better.

Probably wouldn't go for anything older just because I'd like to keep it for a while. And likely not newer because I might not be able to afford it. I have been really looking into going to the States as soon as I sell my SiR.

I imported mine and used a broker out of Coquitlam. He did a great job and took care of everything. I told him the color I wanted, the year and the mileage and price and he found it for me in days. He paid for the car and brought it up, then I purchased it from him so I didn't have to pay for the car ahead of time. Excellent experience and I would recommend that to anyone.

Welcome to the board. I went from an EM1 to an S as well. Great upgrade! Good luck with the sale and the search for an S.

How much does the broker charge for his services?

Broker charged me $210.00. He beaks it down but the total to get the car up here was in the 4K area. Still the cars down there are pretty inexpensive. My total cost was 29,999.99 plus taxes on a car with 12,000kms. (2007), with clean CarFax report. That was to the door with all paperwork complete. I just insured it and drove it away.

Wow, that price includes the duty and inspection costs too?

Yes. That was everything including the running lights module that had to be added to pass border inspection for registration in Canada. I figure I saved about 2K from most of the cars I looked at here. And had a greater selection.
