Insurance question
Hi everyone,
Hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be getting my S shipped from the states, and I was wondering how much (on average) is insurance around here? I do know that unlike the states, where there are multiple companies to choose form, there is only one.
Overall, how is the coverage? I can understand if your policy coverage is based on your driving record, but since I just moved up here to Canada, will this mean that I will be screwed?
Any input would greatly be appreciated
Thanks again

A total of $2600 with 40% discount for me. $2mil liabilities from a third party. You can get basic coverage from ICBC and the rest from third parties such as Canadian Direct (HSBC).
I believe with a driving record from your current insurance company you can apply for the discount.

There are couple insurance company here but ICBC is the biggerst one.......
If you don't have % discount that will probably cost you around $4000......
I mean depends....Probably lower than that.....

Depends on your driving record and how long you've driven for without an at fault accident. The insurance Co. (ICBC they have a monopoly)will probably want a letter from your insurer from the U.S. I'm a level 19 road star at -43% the 03 S2000 cost me ~$2250/year with $200 comprehensive, $300 Collision , $3,000,0000 third party liabbilty, pleasure use only.
