Default Little problem today

Today on my way to work all of a sudden my VSA light and my emergency brake light came on while I was driving. The Brake was not engaged and I didn't hit the VSA off button. I pulled over and turned the car off and started it again and the two lights stayed on. I tried pushing the VSA button but nothing happened and when I put on my emergency brake the light got a little brighter. I know the brake is not on as the car coasts fine and I don't feel any drag.

Anyone have this happen to them? Any suggestions? This is on a '07. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried unplugging the battery?
It may reset the computer.

Yup. Looks like it can happen. Most commonly caused by low brake fluid as mentioned above. Could also be brake shoes, but I doubt its that. Gonna check it out tomorrow and will post what I find.

Check the brake fluid level to start with. There is a chance the sensor for the level has gone bad as well, I have done the odd one on another Honda, but not very common. If the level is very low check your brakes. If the fluid level has been maintained properly (as in not topped up) then that is a sign you have low brake pads.

First off, thanks to everyone that replied. I went to check the brake fluid first. Took the cover off and the fluid appeared to be fine. I put the cap back on, started the car and the VSA and Emergency brake light was no longer on.

Problem fixed I hope. Still I think I will bleed the system.

Need to take it into dealership. My shop could not read the codes on an '07. Why is this different from an '06? They can read an 06 but it wouldn't even recognize my car. Anyway I will keep you up to date as I find out. Going into shop on Friday.
