Maintenance Schedule
So I'm wondering if any of you guys do your maintenance according to owner's manual, and if so, do you do it at a Honda dealership or other bodyshops. I've gotten my S for about half year now and now I'm considering of going with the maintenance schedule listed in owner's manual. However, I'm not sure if the money really is worth it to do everything as listed. I've always had bad image towards "dealerships" because a lot of times they charge pretty big.
So my question is, does anyone know a good place to do this? Kenny, is your Vancouver Honda a nice place to go?
I feel like I should do some thorough check on the entire car now but at a reasonable price.

I do maintenance myself on my S, as I did on my previous car. I'm planning on changing oil every 5,000 kms, and diff and tranny fluid every 15,000kms since I'll be autocrossing (which will put extra strain on the tranny and diff). Thats the major stuff, and for all the other stuff I'll just follow the reccomended maintenance intervals in the manual.
EDIT: Oh, and brake fluid probably once per year with something like Motul DOT 5.1, and right before any track days (if I manage to make any this year).

I take my car to Carter Honda. So far so good. But like you said, their charge is quite unjust (1st few services are mainly visual inspection and oil change).
Just be sure to ask them what type of service and cost before you give them your keys. I noticed that sometimes the labor cost may vary even tho the type of service might be the same..I guess it's really up to the person who enter the price at the service counter.
If your car is still under warranty..why bother bring it else where? if anything goes wrong...you'd have the reciept and such so everything is all good.
Perhaps if ur warranty is over..u could try A&J or something..heard they do services as well.

I get all my service work done at Gearheads, they carry the full line of Motul Fluids (engine oil, trans/diff oil, and brake fluid.. etc), and HAMP filters too, fair prices and great service!
