My Blog
Hey Guys!! I have been doing a little fooling around on the net and made myself a blog. It follows my racing escapades and I will be posting many cool videos. Here is a sample of the content:

Well it is only a few short days until my 1st time on the Chilliwack CartBC track. I thought I would highlight a few things with a short post. The picture above is the kart I will be racing on the weekend of the 29/30th. When I signed up for the arrive and drive program with Italian Motors they asked if I could come down for a seat fitting. Luckily when I sat in this kart, it was 'like a glove'. Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking a 2 stroke kart out for the 1st time at f440, it was a thrill. While being a fun course, the track is just too small for the speed of the 2 stroke kart. I can't wait to stretch the legs of the leopard engine inside the kart.

I saw that linked from your sig at VCMC. Good luck this weekend!
Is that a TAG Kart? I'm guessing a Leopard or something similar?
You should have a blast. I know about 3 years ago I had the chance to drive an ICA kart around F440, the first time I punched the gas it literally took the breath out of my lungs. Karts are something else in terms of all out performance!

Thanks for the response guys! Mav your right, its a 125cc TaG Leopard. The same feeling happened to me at F440 last weekend, it really was a shock. I just hope the weather stays nice
Skid, If I am feeling really nerdy this weekend, I might post sat/sunday to give an idea what its like. I can't wait!

Somemilk, if you were interested in a kart new or used there are a few local suppliers:
Some of the local Vancouver ones:

Around BC suppliers:

Obviously prices ranger because of different kart manufacturers and classes. A brand new kart like the one I am racing this weekend can run from 4-8 grand. Of course there are plenty on sale for 3-5 grand. Karts tend to hold their value because they are fairly well maintained and parts are so easily and cheaply swapped they are usually brand new.

Mav, it went GREAT! After a 1/2 wet 1/2 dry track during qualifying which left me in 2nd after a dry tyre setup, I started 3rd because of my rookie status. Both races went really well. The reack was dry for both races and really let me get a firm handle on the performance and track by logging the most laps I had done all weekend, especially in the dry. Starting in 3rd of 4 and 3rd of 3 (1 guy crashed during the 1st race and didn't make it back because of his kart being damaged) I placed 2nd in both races not far behind 1st place.
I will be putting up a longer, more in depth blog post tonight with lots of pictures and explination of the races and the whole experience.
thanks for the bump Mav
I hope you guys got a chance to check out my Saturday blog!rich
