Do you login when you are on another computer?

it is called a cookie..., it is stored on your local computer so if you log in via aonther computer none of your personal settings will be there.

exactly...

when you go on the website, and view lets say one of the topic, a cookie is then saved onto your computer, reminding it that it has viewed that topic. Therefore, when you go on another computer, it will not have these informations.

Yes, this is normal

do you stay logged in from both computers though?

because i think the server tracks time of your last activity (like clicking into threads, posting, etc), so if you are logged in on both, it doesn't matter which computer you are viewing it from, the only topics that are highlighted are the ones with posts later than your last activity...

but of course, when you start looking into the threads, then the cookies will remember which ones to un-highlight once your start clicking on them....

No, it doesn't matter whether you are a guest or a member.
