I would try the cat first. Then the exhaust.

a stock cat will be enough.
stock exhaust doesnt do anythin with ur air-care, its just the same with ur T1R exhaust with a smaller diametre piping.

Is it possible to fail b/c of an exhaust? If you have a test pipe and no cat, then that could be it!

I still think you should do the CAT first then decide if you want to get rid of the exhaust. There are performance gains with exhaust and test pipe that you would be giving up. Do you have an aftermarket intake?
