in need of some help

something i discovered today..
my second gear seems to grind a bit when i shift from 1st to 2nd.. but ONLY happens when i floor it/rip to vtec
i rarely rip/vtec too so i never even noticed.. until couple hrs ago when i did. I thought maybe the clutch was not properly engaged.. so tried again from 1st to 2nd, this time made sure my clutch was FULL in, it still did the same

any help?

as far as i know, my mechanic told me my clutch master cylinder needs to be replaced soon but still okay to drive

You have an AP2? Get your CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) removed. Makes a world of a difference in shipping. Sometimes I would get a grind at high RPM's, fast shifting and making sure the clutch pedal was to the floor. Since removing the CDV I haven't heard it since

Hmm, is your car a 2000 as per your profile? Your problem sounds like the known AP1 issue: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/275...into-2nd-gear/
