Default Place to rent/stay

Is anyone in the vancouver area willing to lend a fellow S2k owner a hand smile.gif I need a place to rent while i go to school in Vancouver. Im from South Florida and will be shipping my car up there. Ive only found a few places to rent in the 800-1200 range and some cheaper places but its shared living with 4 other people and 1 bathroom, no thanks.

Thanks ahead of time for your time and responses

my buddy rents out his basement suite. 1 bedroom and 1 full bath. Full kitchen and shared washer/dryer. I believe it's around 700, I'll double check. His house was built in 2003-2004, so it's a nice place and in good shape.

Where are you going to school? Both SFU and UBC have fairly good housing close to the campus. If it is either of these universities, they have an office that helps people find places to live.

Oh, so you are a budding director... The West End and Yaletown are both nice areas that would be close to your school, but I am not sure what the rental market looks lke in these areas.

Have you actually been to the city to check it out? If so, do you have a preference for where you want to live?

I'll see if I can dig up some rental info for the areas mentioned above...

The suite described by Angelus sounds like a good option if it is in an area that works for you.

Here is a link for you.

Rentals

This will give you a little bit of an idea of what you will find in the downtown core.

Good luck with the hunt.
