For every one motor oil type there is another person putting it down and recommending another. Sometimes reading these thread just causes more confusion then it does help.
Use what your car manufacturer suggests (read manual). Basically though if your changing your oil like you should be doing then I am not all that convinced that it matters. If your not a regular fluid changer..., then it does matter.
just so you guys know.
ENGINEERS DESIGNED THAT MOTOR IN YOUR CAR AND THE OIL THEY RECOMMEND 10\30 JUST IN CASE YOU CANT READ THE OIL FILLER CAP!!!
when you go to a thinner or thicker oil you will get less lubrication!

While the information is kind of interesting the thread is completely useless. Just a bunch of people with personal opinions of what they use in their cars. Is there actually an informed decision with one outcome?

Oil is oil...I don't think price justifies that your paying for good oil. Obviously marketing has a lot to do with that. I don't want this to become an oil debate, but we all have access to the owners manual of what's recommended for our cars. Anything different from that then itll be based of on opinions.
