just go to a local lordco they can get in some good ones for cheaper probably...I usually say i work at a dealership so i can score a little discount as well... they are usually really chill about it... if u are changin them out yourself i would torque them a couple more lbs than honda recomends.. they seem to come loose on our ap1's... i think they recomend 15 or 16.. i did mine at 18 lbs....

I just bought some platinum NGK plugs from Crappy Tire for $10 a pair.
CT didn't have ones listed for the S, but cross referencing them, they share the same part number as the CRX's on the Boshe plugs so i went with the CRX ones in the NGK G-powers.

When changing the plugs, becareful putting the plugs in. You do not want to cross thread the plug into the head. Also, most torque wrenches are not that accurate when it is such a low number as 15-18 ft/lbs. I usually go hand tight, then add 1/4 turn with the wrench.

Also, get a plug gapping tool to double check that the plugs are gapped properly.

Really?? hand tight and 1/4 turn.. You have never had any problems with them coming loose?? Maybe it was only in the early ap1's.. I am just paranoid when it comes to that because I have had a plug blow out on me before...and that was no fun...

I have a steel bridge I can sell you, or beach front property in Oklahoma.

Poor gas mileage due to old plugs is quite common. To spend $15 on a plug is a bit extreme. Honda is over charging for those NGK's. With the part number, those plugs can be bought from Lordco for $11 each, and that is already on the high side.

As for the plugs blowing out, there is no reason for that to happen as long as they are properly tightened. The difference between 15-18 ft/lbs is not noticable at that low amount. Most torque wrenches are not that accurate at that low amount. But it is worse to cross thread or strip the threads by over tightening the spark plug.
