Some have said that the SO3's provide better grip in our rather wet climate. I am still on my original SO2's, but have been wondering what to do when the time comes to replace them.

My personal experiences:

S02
- just right for this car.
- too expensive

Kumho Ecsta MX
- similar grip to the S02 in the dry.
- they'll give you a nervous feeling at the limit. They don't seem to provide the same glued-down to the road feel as the S02 - but I know the grip is there. It's hard to explain it without first hand experience.
- the nervousness is more evident in the rain. I'm still too scare to find out whether they have just as much grip as the s02 in the rain.
- noise..noise and lots of it. Snow tire <---- MX ---< S02 <- Michelin Pilot
- The MX is a bargain for performance tires.

Toyo Proxes 4 ( I had them for about 3 weeks )
- pretty decent, but I wouldn't compare them to the S02 or the MX.
- they do feel better than the S02 in the rain.
- should be ok for daily usage.

I'm going back to S02 for my next set of tires
