Default US import people

i have a former US car which had the DRLs wired by the previous owner. I am looking to wire it back to stock form (which i believe is: switch down-all lights off, switch middle-city lights, switch up-headlights???)

currently, all lights are on all the time, the switch does nothing. so i'm just wondering is there a typical procedure that people usually follow to wire DRLs or is there a good chance that the wiring is going to be a mess? just looking for a starting point before i go to look at mine in a day or two.

thanks

Mine are:

Switch off - no lights

Switch middle - parking lights

Switch up - headlights

Highbeams - highbeams

I just drive with my lowbeams on all the time, it's better. I find if my lights are off it's a recipe for accidents and getting cut off.

I you look under the dash on the left of the steering column you will most likely see a jumper there joining the ingnition power to the headlights. That's how we hooked mine up so I could pass and then I just removed it after

I'm interested as well. I don't know which is the headlight power underneath the dash. I've got to get the federal inspection done because I'm running out of time but I haven't figured out a simple way yet! Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to use a jumper from the fuse box as you mentioned.

Thanks redsands
