Default What do I need to do for passing air care?

I just done putting back on the Cat convertor and the aftermarker full cat back system. According to S2S's air care diagnose computer, my car is not even close to the pass point. He recommands me to detune the AEM with Garage Five before I go to air care, maybe ....maybe I will pass the air care later on.

Anybody have the similar problems?

I dont think you will pass with AEM i herd aem throws cel? IF you have a cel then you wont pass. As long as your A/f isnt to rich you should be fine. With a cat.... Keep us posted, i passed with a greddy kit with Emanage ultimate with no prob, but thats prob a differnt set up then urs.

I try not to drink a lot of beer or eat beans for at least a day prior.

It's alway worked for me

I don't think you will be able to pass aircare with the aem ems standalone unit because it will automatically throw CEL codes (Someone correct me if I am wrong). You will pass aircare with hondata or greddy ultimate (piggyback unit) or Greddy Emanage Blue (piggyback unit). I have a Greddy emanage blue(piggyback unit) for sale if you want it. I will sell it to you cheap. Hook it up and get an economy tune and you will pass with flying colors. The unit has been tested by Wayne at Garage 5 and is good to go.

But I never have check engine light on?! i think I will just tell the guys from aircare that I am currently running with a stand alone ECU and maybe just ask em to plug in a sensor for the test.

Tim, this is what you need to do;

1)Take out your S/C belt
2)Put back your factory ECU
3)Put back your factory Injectors
4)Put back your factory Intake

YOU NEED THE FACTORY ECU TO PASS AIRCARE.

FYI: If you do not have the factory ecu you will need to buy one from Honda or a used one with a provided vehicle registration, change your keys, change your locks and get a reflash.
