Where to make Spare Key and Remote?!
I bought my S last Sept and it only come with one set of key and remote. Due to the wear and tear, I found it so ugly and I can't stand the look of it, so I decided to go with the traceable flip key which I bought it from ebay. Anyway, I am just worry if I lost the key in da future then I won't be able to drive my car again. I went to the honda dealership on kingsway and there is no way they can program remote or even program a spare key for me due the change of engine code?!. So I was guess it's the AEM engine management which make the service department won't be able to get their job done. Is there any other way that I can get another set of programed key and remote? perhaps..upgrade the Alarm system?!

That is strange. Keep us posted. In that case if your aem took over ur stock ecu like they said wouldnt your key not work at all? I may have read it wrong. I had to get another ecu programed in my s2000 i went to White rock Honda they said the could not reprogram the ecu to work with my car so then i went to richmond 20 min later i had a new ecu programed to my car. So just try going into richmond and try there.
aftermarket ECU'S dont use the key immobilizer so all you have to do is cut the key and thats it. as for the remote if its the right one i can program it for you, but i would have to see it to be sure. pm me with your number if you want me to check it out.

The car would not start without the transponder which is inside the key?! Is that true? And there is another thing I am wondering about...regarding to the AEM management system? Is it like a stand alone ECU which take over the stock ECU?
I bought the remote from ebay and seems like middlegate honda can't program it as well -_-', they said the remote is not responding with my vehicle?!
I think I will try richmond honda to give it a shot! Thank you all for your supports.
p.s: I think I will contact you in the near future as well, S2S

that transponder only works with the factory ecu, and the aem replaces that ecu witch makes your key a regular key now.
performance ecu's are usually stand alone. which means they only run whats necessary.
as for the remote, it could be broken or the wrong frequency
its always best to buy the honda keys and remotes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
