WTB: Floor Jack
In the market for a jack as i do most of the work on my car myself. Is anyone selling used or can anybody recommend me a good place to get one?
The only place i can think of is Canadian Tire or Lordco. I've bought a jack from Canadian Tire b4, and i can say that its not good quality. The jacks at Canadian tire will probably work and do just fine, but considering that its a jack and its something i'll be using for quite a long time, i prefer to have a decent one. With that said, if anyone is selling or looking to get a new one, and selling their old one, let me know. My price range is roughly 0-$200

Just order this from the states and be done with it.

Wait, do they ship to Canada though?

I ended up buying a 60$ Michelin Jack from Canadian Tire and a 20$ MotoMaster Jackstands... Works well, i like how it has "speedylift", im just wondering if the cheaply priced jack will reflect on the actual performance. My ideal jack was the 199.99 MotoMaster Racing Aluminum one that CT had, but im not sure if i can justify the price for a jack.
Can someone tell me the advantages of a higher priced jack? I know that its low profile, but considering that my front is somewhat "slammed", im sure that i'll be needing my scissor jacks to raise the car a bit for any floor jacks. The only thing i can think of is the portability of aluminum, comparing 24.5lbs to a 100lbs jack

Both Jacks will do pretty much the same thing. As I said before, just drive onto some 2x4 or 2x6 before jacking and you may not need to use your scissor jacks. An advantage of a low-profile jack though is that it can reach the center jack point a little easier because of it's length.
One thing to look out for with the so called "speedy-lift" is leakage. I've read that they have a tendency to leak faster than a regular non-speedy lift jack.
