If you have an AP1 valve retainers are a well known and documented issue. If you dont know if they have been replaced, have them checked.

Depends where you live (I don't know any Nanaimo shops). You're up Nanaimo way, correct?
I'd say bring it in but, that's not very convenient for you if you live up island.

Yeah i live up nanaimo. They have a shop where my friends go at its called 5252 motorsport. But i have seen good reviews about billmans250 tct. Sp i moght get it from him. Also i called honda about valve adjustment and they said it doesnt need to be adjust until 150xxx not unless u hear a noise.

I know the guys at 5252 (Blaine and Chris), abd can vouch for them. They have a new guy who had an S2000 and is very knowledgeable about them. I have had work done there and they sponsor and attend the Poker Run.

Sounds like the common TCT issue but yeah valve noise could also sound very similar but it's probably less likely. You can get the part from Billman250 and apparently you won't run into the problem again with the modified TCT. I also don't know any shops in Nanaimo.
