Default Overheating?

Now its time for me to post this problem i have. It happen to me twice already. So i was about to merge to the highway and rev my car all the way to 6-7rpm. I dont usually go that high on my rpm if im in the city. but not if im merging. So what happen is rev it and all of a sudden i smell something, its smell like my engine is overheating. It smell like an overheating car. Couple weeks again try to merge, rev up, then i smell the same smell again. So idk what should i do. Is it my car not getting enough cooling or need to flush my radiator. So im not really sure. Anyone knows whats going on?

check if your heater blows hot air
if it doesn't, than its most likely your radiator. Mine had a crack and it was doing the same thing

The easy thing to do is check your temp gauge Lol.

you could have a coolant leak, or coolant splashed somewhere and it is only noticeable if you're at a higher rate of speed and is being blown into the cabin.

But if the car isn't at a high load the air would cool it off.

Do your fans work and cycle ok ? Check for cracks on the radiator, check your overflow for cracks and if it is hooked up properly.

How many miles are on your car?

Anywas car is stock. 57000km something. I dont really got the tech skills but ill prolly ask someone to check it. Ill try to check my heater. Oh its maybe becuase when i change my intake i have to take the hose that connects to the coolant and i think i spilled it on my alternator. Just a lilbut tho.

so i check what needs to be check that you guys recommended. i checked the heater and it seems to be blowing hot air just fine. also i checked my radiator if there is a cracked on it which is seems to be fine as well. but the thing is that my radiator have so much insect on it so maybe thats restricting it getting enough air to cool the engine.

Perhaps you're in fact slipping the clutch. Have someone drive your car and try to replicate the scenario.

^ Yes I didn't think of that but that will get you a smell at those RPM's if it happens after a shift/clutch release.
