The whole pumpkin or ring/pin?

 

I'm not sure what part is blown all i know is that i hit vtec in second gear and it gave a loud pop followed by a bunch of clanking, it still drives but it clicks and is hesitant every couple feet

 

Don't DRIVE the car anymore. You''ll break the housing. Break the housing, and it's going to be 4,XXX.XX. Sounds like your ring and pinion is shot. TOW the car to the dealer.

If it's a ring and pinion, I maybe able to help you.

If he tows it to the dealer, and they fix it, he'll be broke

I'd recommend a complete dif unit to plug and play.
