Anybody have a soft top latch for sale or know a place that sells them. i refuse to pay $110 for it from the dealer.

 

Are you looking for the part mounted to the windsheild or the softtop?

OK, Those are the strikers. So if you change the title of this thread to reflect that, it will help. There may be a number of them FS becasue the HT installation kits used to come with them. The 02+ car no longer need to swap them to install the HT. So that means there is a number of them out there.

There was a set on eBay that just sold too. (This weekend.)

I'm not sure what part it is that you pointed out, but the one i need is illustrated as part 60 - l.assembly and its $111.00
I basicly need the entire latch, come to think about it it is the part attached to the softtop not the windshield. Must have been on crack earlier.
Something inside the latch broke and now it will not stay "latched" one bump and it pops open.

 

Anyone know why they came with the Hardtop Kit?

I have a MY2000 and a hardtop I bought recently. So I assume I have the old strikers. But there doesn't seem to be an issue with them.

 

So to clarify, it's not the "striker" it's the acutal latch that is attached to the top.
