Headlamps
I have a few questions. The UK headlights on the MY00-03 car where the same headlights as the JDM headlights. They have a clear diffusers on the turn signal side. So you actually need two sets of JDM headlights. Since we have to import these from Japan, and pay a higher price for them, you might not find what you are looking for at the price you are willing to pay. We have to pay 800-1000 US for a new set, and 500-800 for a used set. Also they have only been sold as set as far as I can remember. It just might be cheaper to order them directly from a UK dealer??
sorry wat are usdms??
Also i only actually need the right hand side headlamp (if ur facing the car) but i need two of them. but i cant find anyone willing to sell me individually. UK prices for the lamps are ridiculous which is why im lookin for imported

LHD _____/--------_____/--------
RHD --------\_____--------\_____
This pattern is made by a small internal part inside the HID projector it'self. Also the USDM and JDM/EDM headlights for the earlier S2000 were slightly different. This was true for MY99-03. With the release of the MY04s, all headlights are now the same from a looks standpoint. But the HID light pattern still has the same for LHD and RHD.
Here is an example of a USDM MY00-03 Headlight
Here is an example of a JDM/EDM MY00-03 Headlight (MY02 chrome housing)
Here is an example of a USDM MY00-03 Headlight modified with a Rick's JDM Clear diffuser.
In addition, some EDM headlights have an auto adjustable options that is not available in any other country. So the headlight have some addition accessories that the USDM/JDM headlight may not work with.
Does that help explain things.
Now with all of that said, yes you can save money on headlights if you change to USDM. This is because there are quite afew for sale here in the US. But if you want EDM or JDM headlight, then even used you are looking at 800 used for a pair.
I will be happy to help get you what you need one way or the other. I just want to make sure that what you get is what you really want.
