Looking for a s2000 $11k max!
Hey guys,
Im new to the forum, and im looking for a s2000. I don't really care about the exterior or the interior color. Milage should be around 40-50k please. Year should be around 2000-2003. I prefer black exterior and black or red interior. But like i said i dont really mind. I live in socal (OC AREA) So car must be around here somewhere. Im ready to buy, and im looking to buy within this week. SO get back to me quick. The seller must be willing to let me get it checked by a mechanic. I can't pay more than 10$K, and no salvages please. Well thanks for reading!

whew . . . a bunch of members on here would buy a second s2k if they could get an s2k for 10K with those kinds of stats
Sorry, but at 10K, even in a crappy market, you're looking at 80-100k miles or a salvage title for that kind of money
best of luck to ya

can't believe anyone still trusts KBB....
I've been looking for s2ks for months and this is the only one I see that fits your description if you are willing to travel...
http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/dda/deta...er_id=100021474
The dealer is either insane or something is seriously wrong with the car... Anyways, you'll probably have to wait for another year or two (or if econ gets really really bad) if you let this one pass...
Blue interior just doesn't work for me, lol

if you don't believe me go do a search in autotrader or cars.com in your zip code. i live right next to OC and i just did a search and only ONE CAR matches your criteria within 100 miles. and i'm pretty certain that if you carfax it there will definitely be accidents and repairs in the history, even if the title is clean. if you're looking for something between good and fair expect to pay around $14k, 13 if you find a good deal. if you want to pay less than 13 expect to get less than fair.
edit: darn claus you beat me to it! you must've posted right before i did. i saw this car on autotrader too and i'm sure if you carfax it there will be accidents and repairs on record. before i bought my car last month i found a BB ap2 with under 50k miles going for around 10K! i got all excited, then checked the carfax and found out the owner had hit a street lamp and flipped the damn thing. the title was clean, but yeah right i'm gonna buy something that was flipped and thrashed. well hell, if you have a budget for a fair-poor ride, that's what you get, i guess.

not all histories show up on CarFax
it is only good for lemon, salvaged, and odo stuff. CA law didn't require accident report untill a few years ago, and some ppl still don't report accidents even when it is mandatory by law.
Agree with cyde01, u do get what u pay for. Try using TMV appraiser on Edmunds.com, they give u the fair "asking" (not final deal) price.
Well, I hope we are wrong about the blue S2k and if you manage to get it, enjoy it
