Has anyone on here dealt with purchasing from hardtopguy (www.hardtopguy.com)? I ask because I purchased an OEM GPW HT on 2/4/11. I spoke with Jeff at the number (216-299-3182) and confirmed the order and that shipping would be through a freight coumpany. He told me that he would send me a Pro number and the contact information for the receiving terminal. They took my payment (via funds transfer through Paypal) on 2/4/11. I received an email from htg on 2/8/11 stating that my order had processed (via truckline). Since then, I have not heard anything else from them even though I have left voicemail messages on 4 separate occasions and sent them an email. Can anyone on here help with this? Any suggestions? I am concerned about being out $3450 and not getting a response from this seller...

 

I think this is what they kind of are known for.. They are extremely busy and kind of lag on getting back to people in a decent amount of time... But I'm positive that u are not out $3,000+.. hope it works out..

 

yeah he tends to ignore some people after he gets their money and claims he is too busy and overwhelmed, blah, blah, blah, yet he has the spare time to be on S2kca.com doing group buys all the time. I doubt he will take your money without delivering the goods but his customer service plain sucks once he has the sale. I ended up getting a refund from my credit card company rather than wait for him to reply to any of my requests after 3 months of his b.s. Go over to S2kca.com and see if you can get his attention over there.

 

Damn that"s a butt load of cash for a HT. Good luck and im sure you'll get the top> just try researching through the freight company

 

He's a good guy. Just wait 30 days from the day of purchase. He is pretty good on his word, so dont sweat it. I know 3g's aint nothin to sneeze at, but you got to remember that if you would have bought this from the dealer years ago it would have been 2-4 weeks. Just hang tight mang. If he doesnt come thru (which he mostly likely will come thru) call the BBB and you get your money back.

 

I've met him before and live right by him, but the past year it has been very hard to get in touch with him. He must be seriously busy because everytime i email him hes on the move or out of town. I wouldnt sweat it though, he is an honest guy. Its probably just really tough running the HTG business by himself.

 

I have some awsomeness to report...HT arrived today!!! I googled to find a DIY install (which happened to be here on S2KI) and voilla...installed and looking spectacular. Now to get the rear glass tinted...guess that will be a project for tomorrow or this weekend. I will post pics after I take some. I also removed the windshield tape. Sweet!!!
