looking for the Rick's clear headlight diffusers and a pair of clear sidemarkers, preferably with chromed amber bulbs. I'd prefer not to spend a small fortune at Rick's - 100 bucks for some plastic lenses would not please the wife

These are tricky to find on the used market, especially if you are looking for the USDM diffusers, which haven't been made for a couple years. They will sometimes pop up on ebay, so keep an eye out there as well. Good luck.

 

i figured as much. thanks for the advice. fortunately im not in any sort of rush or anything, and though i know its a bit of a long shot, i just figured id post up juuuuust in case a pair turns up.

 

One more thing - post up something in your signature (ie WTB - clear diffusers). Then every time you post, your spreading the word. Never know who may have a set sitting around but don't feel like taking the time/hassle to actively try to sell them.
