Default 17x7.5 ROTA D2 Issue

I purchased a set of 17x7.5 et48 Rota D2's for the S. The deal was too good for me to pass. I did abit of research but apparently did not do enough.

I've read somewhere that Rota D2's 17" had clearance issues with the front wheels. What were the chances a 17" would not clear a HONDA? REALLY? Not only that but the bore size is wrong. S2000s have 70.1mm fronts and 64mm rear... right? The Rotas have 67.1mm bore size.

I know the wheel can be bored out to fit but I like to try and avoid this situation. My next question is given the fronts will clear the brakes, does anyone know the thickness of the S2000 Hub lip? I was thinking if I can use spacers thick enough to avoid having to mount the the wheel on to the actual hub of the rears and would this possibly also help with the brake clearance issue?

I was thinking 10mm front and 15mm rears

Can anyone confirm the 17" Rota D2s have clearance issues? My car is wrapped and tucked away for winter but I may have to test fit these in the freezing weather.

am I just sh*t out of luck and best to move on?

I have a feeling the lip is thicker than 5mm.. ? again I could be wrong I can't find all this information anywhere. wtf.

So you're saying a 5mm spacer will solve the hub size and possible brake clearance? I know it makes sense but only 5mm? I was thinking it would require more but I would hope you're right. Anyone can confirm?
