Not looking to go "hellaflush", so tell me straight up if this fitment is too aggressive... And obviously I don't know much about this stuff, otherwise I would have ordered the wheels already. Looking at xxr531 17x8 +35 17x9 +25. '05 ap2 lowered 2" with spacers with fenders rolled. Need advice on tire sizes and if this setup will make me lose s200 function. It's a sports car and I like to drive it as such
Thx

The front is borderline, wouldn't be my first choice. +40 would be better with an 8" wheel. The rear is way too aggressive poke. I would not get those wheels in that offset as they are indeed "Hellaflush". You will ruin the handling and grip off the car becuase you will need to run massive camber and undersized stretched tires. To retain good tire sizing without too much hassle of fender mods beyond rolling, and excessive camber over -3, you will want to be no less then +45 on a 10" wheel MAX for the rear and if you go narrower like a 9" you can get away with with a little less offset +35. The front to be safe you can figure same offsets but a 1" narrower wheel compared to the rear. But again these are the absolute limits to not give up tire and excessive camber and fender pulling. If you want to run more then a stock 215 tire up front however, then your wheel sizing will need to be wider and a deeper higher numerical offset. For example a 255 up front would need to be on a 9 to 9.5" wheel at +50 to +55

Careful running too much of a stretch. My buddy bought my old rims and put a 225/40 on an 18x10.5. This is what happened to him after hitting a medium sized dip. Don't be a dip, run some proper sizes. For your rims, I'd say 215/45 and 245/40 minimum to be safe. Blowouts are no fun, but de-beading a tire at 70 isn't very fun either.

^Ouch. But really though, 225 on a 10.5 wheel is ridiculous. A 285 would be a vertical sidewall on a a wheel that wide.

I was running a 235/35 on it for about a year, no problems besides extreme camber wear. But I warned him about stepping down to 225's. He didn't listen.

You can do a 225/40 on a 10.5 you just need to use 50-60psi in them to keep the beads on. Yeah, it's stupid but in Japan it is done every day. I Have put a 225/40/18 on a 11" for a Drifter to burn off and 55psi kept them on the entire session. For a STRETCH look but not a stupid narrow tire the sizes in your original post are perfect. I have run similar sizes in 18" for 30,000 miles but you MUST keep an eye on tires and flip them in time if you're running more than -3 camber(which is possible, just go real low). For reference I ran a 215/35 and 225/40 on an 18x8.5 +24 and 18x9.5 +29. - Pic: http://www.poopftw.com/images/c4cpp4.jpg

This. ^
I ran 18x9 +15 and 18x10.5 +22 staggered setup With 215/35 and 235/35 tires. Stupid stretched in the back. Also had -6* camber in the rear to fit it. I will admit, it's stupid and impractical, but anything can be done. Just watch your tires, keep them aired up properly, and flip them when they start showing camber wear.

Just doing 215/45/17 all around
The offset of the rims are +40 / +35
I want a nice stretch on both front and back
And I am on coilovers with stock camber of course

Help me out thanks!
I have a very nice roll and pull on my fenders. 18x9.5 +32 varrstoens all the way around (thats how you spell it? lol)
and with that said the only way to properly fit these is to: "stance" to make her dance. Now I am not hella flush but I can be with these wheels if I wanted to. I enjoy driving like I stole it too much. With that aside: I have 3.1 degrees of neg camber in the front and 4.3 in the back. the 9.5 inch wheel with a 225 will give a noticeable stretch AND it looks great (nothing crazy) because thats what I have on my S and im not about that life 215 up front will be very good in my opinion and it will help fitment and turning once your all said and done. I used to do 3 point U turns on a 3 lane road... (it was awful lol)
