Default Tire size question on MF10 rims.

I plan on purchasing the Falken Azeni RS tires. Would it be ok if I put 225/45/17 up front and 245/45/17 in back? Usually the fronts are supposed to be taller but they dont come in a taller size for 17's. Will that be ok and will it have any negative effects? And lastly, will the 225's fit on the front with the Mugen MF10 rims?

225/45/17 is fine in front, but in rear I would use 255/40/17.

Either that combo, or...
215/45/17
245/40/17

The Azenis only come in six sizes. What are the consequences of having the same height tires in both front and back?

Your car uses the same height tire front and rear. What you are talking about is not the same height front and rear. You would throw off the anti lock brakes and speedometer, odometer and gear ration with the 245/45R17 rear.
It is not a good size.

I know old thread but...

I just bought Mugen MF10s and I need help deciding which tire / size. Here are the ones I was thinking of:

Falken Azenis @ 225/45/17 + 245/45/17
Kumho MX or 712 @ 225/45/17 + 255/40/17
Kumho MX or 712 @ 215/45/17 + 245/50/17

My first choice is the Falken Azenis. I know the rear sidewall is too tall. BUT I LOVE those tires, and Falken only makes it in those sizes for 17". RIDGERCR had those sizes. Anyone else? How was the handling? The launch?

If not the Falkens, then any recommendations between Kumho MX or 712? How about between the wider series (225 + 255) and the (215 + 245) for my 7.5" and 8.5" rims. Suggestions? Thx!

btw, my priorities for the tires were

1) price
2) performance

I could care less about tread life. The way I drive, I'm gonna wear out any tire asap anyway. Thx!

teh azenis are HEAVY. they cheap and grippy, but to heavy for my tastes. go for some gforce kd's.
