Default 17x9 tirees

What is the widest tire i can fit on a 17x9? i want to fit 265s in the rear would that work? i have +45 rpf1s with all fenders rolled. currently running 245s all around but want more grip in the rears.

thanks

weather it will fit has a variety of factors that we cant determine. plus you can always pull/flare/add camber to your setup to make them fit. if you want it done then you can do it, it will just take more work on your part.

What are the offsets of your wheels? Based on the size of the tire I would think in the +60-70 range.
Getting that much tire on a +45 isn't going to work ( unless you want to stretch your rear fender and still have poke)

Id stick with 255 and run a good compound. Compound makes a bigger difference then width anyway. The problem with 265/275 is it not only adds unsprung weight, it makes the gearing taller which sucks. Adding sidewall height removes some precision in handling as well.

Also just a side note, the few 265 choices that are on the market have actually looked narrower then the typical 255's for what ever reason. So that obviously defeats the original purpose.
